Youth employment dominates AU-EU summit
It’s been ten years since the adoption of the joint Africa-EU Strategy.
At the fifth African Union-European Union summit in Abidjan, leaders discussed on future relations of both continent, and focus on investing in youth.
This is a key priority for Africa and the EU as 60% of the African population is under the age of 25.
Burkina Faso launches Sahel region’s largest solar power plant
Burkina Faso, inaugurated a novel scheme to boost renewables and cut energy dependence on its neighbours.
The project is West Africa’s largest plant in terms of installed capacity and will be able to power tens of thousands of homes. Here is the report from our news room.
